Mr. and Mrs. Steele | Wedding

July 1, 2017 was a magical day for Jessica and Jackson.

I met Jessica at a wedding I photographed in last January, and she was delightful! Later on that year, my husband and I drove up to Columbia, MO to take Jessica and Jackson's engagement photos. Afterwards, we went to a delicious restaurant and shared our love for all things Mizzou.

Fast forward to July 1, 2017.

Jessica and Jackson's wedding was held at The Bride and The Bauer event space in Kansas City, MO. This was my first opportunity to shoot an event in KCMO. I was more than excited!

One thing I loved about this space was the attention to detail (be looking for the unique windows in the ceremony shots) and friendly staff. They even had a locker for me to put my equipment! Let's just say....I never had to worry about my bag getting into by anyone! For that, I am thankful!

Also, The Hair Parlour KC is directly below the event space. This made taking photos of the girls getting ready, super convenient. Both spaces have a lot of natural light, which makes for great photos!

Jessica chose the most beautiful bridal gown, designed by Hayley Paige. From what I know about Jessica...she did not let anything slip through the cracks for her big day! Everything was done to perfection! I am in love with all of the little detailed shots in this gallery. Jessica and Jackson wrote letters to one another prior to the ceremony and read them just as the sun started setting behind them. In my opinion, this was the most romantic and sweetest part of the day.

I am so thankful for kindhearted and loving couples....especially since I ruined their first look by knocking a candle in a glass vase on the floor! It made for a great memory...but most importantly...the couple's first look as Jessica walked down the isle was priceless. That moment was so much more emotional than the first look. That moment is one that will be treasured forever.

These two really outdid themselves and planned an amazing event to be shared by all of their friends and family. Here are some of my favorite shots from Jessica and Jackson's wedding day!

Enjoy!

A Day of Happiness | Springfield, MO

A Day of Happiness

Six years ago, I had a crazy idea to apply for a business license. What started out as a hobby became a passion, a lifestyle, and most importantly....a career!

For those of you who do not know the story behind Hannah Arnzen Photography, I encourage you to read my first blog post on how HAP came about!

If you're like me and would rather have it paraphrased....the acronym of HAP sounds like "happy" or "happiness." I felt this was appropriate due to most of my photos being bright and light. I then came up with my business motto: "The Art of Happiness."

I strive to photograph individuals in their happiest moments, whether that be graduating high school, becoming new parents, getting married to your best friend, or even renewing your vows 50 years into your marriage.

It is so easy to get caught up in the negativity of this world. Sometimes we forget that we can choose to be happy or spread happiness to those around us.

In honor of HAP's 6th year anniversary, my friend Chris Rudolph helped me document this "Day of Happiness." Enjoy!
