Kickapoo High School

Lauren | Senior 2020

This cutie has the bubbliest personality and is someone you want to be friends with! I loved spending time with her during my only senior session at Haseltine Estate! Lauren surprised her dad, Loren (I KNOW…COOL RIGHT???) by wearing his high school letterman sweater. LOVE! Want to get to know Lauren a little more?

It was hard picking a few favorites to share, but here they are!

What is your favorite high school memory?

“My favorite high school memory thus far would have to be going to my first football game. The energy was electric and getting ready for it was nerve-racking and exciting, all at the same time.”

 What are your hobbies?

I enjoy hanging out with my dad and puppy, watching movies, listening to music, and laughing way too hard with my friends.”

What are your plans after graduation?

“Baylor is the dream. I plan to go to Baylor for genetics and then get my Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling.”

What is the craziest or most adventurous thing you’ve done?

“This would probably have to be parasailing over the ocean.”

Do you have a nickname? Is there a story behind it?

“The only nickname I have is LG (for Lauren Grace) because my dad’s name is Loren and family gatherings are too confusing.”

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

“Anywhere and everywhere. My bucket list includes Amsterdam, Greece, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Cuba, Spain, and Peru.”

You walk into Target…where do you head to first?

“Anywhere. I could live in Target.”

What would you sing at karaoke night?

“Probably any early 2000s, Khalid, or Tupac song. Right now, I’ve been playing Truth Hurts by Lizzo on repeat.”

Favorite movie?

“Dirty Dancing has the best movie sound track, but Remember the Titans has the best story.”

What would you say you are a die-hard fan of?

“I’m definitely a die-hard fan of the Oakland Raiders, Cashew chicken, vanilla Coke, anything chocolate, and listening to my music too loud.”

What do you like to do in your free time?

"I love to play volleyball, read in my free time, and watch Netflix. I also love to go on spontaneous adventures with friends."

What would you say you are a die hard fan of?

"I am a die hard fan of one tree hill. It has been my favorite show ever since freshman year."

If you could meet anyone, who would it be?

"I would meet Demi Lovato. She has been inspiration for me since I was little and she such a strong and empowering woman. I have always looked up to her and would love to meet her in person ."

What is your favorite movie?

"My favorite movie is either Chasing Mavericks or Creed. I love them both because they are super motivation and just really good. As for my favorite Disney movie, I would have to say Brother Bear. For anyone who knows my family, we are a hardcore Disney family so it’s hard to choose."

What is a skill you would love to learn?

"I would love to learn sign language. I am absolutely fascinated that an entire language was created by only using our hands and that people use it all the time. I just think it is super cool and like it’s a good way to connect with people I would not normally be able too."

What would you sing at karaoke night?

"I would sing "Baby" by Justin Bieber because it’s so funny watching people’s reactions when they hear that song and adding someone who can’t sing to save her life would make it that much funnier."
